Taarak Mehta ka ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest running comedy show of the country having huge star cast and huge fanbase in India. Jethalal , Dayaben , Bapuji , Babitaji etc are few of its most famous characters. One of its main character i.e Dayaben which was played “Disha Vakani” has been missing from the show for quite long time.
History
Disha got married to Mayur Padia (charted accountant)in 2015. She went on maternity leave in September 2017 and did not return till date. There were many events during this period when there were speculations and news about her comeback as she play a prominent role in the show. Since then makers of the show are trying their level best to bring her back but there has been no progress.

Again and again fans has been asking about her return in the show and the producer of the show Mr Asit Kumar Modi has been giving assurance to the viewers that dayaben will comeback. Last we heard that Mr modi has auditioned 200-300 artist as Disha Vakani has refused to comeback.
Latest news is that “Mayur Vakani” who play the role of “Sundar” & is dayaben’s brother in the show has confirmed that in the Diwali episode which is going to cast in next few days, Dayaben will return to the show. Mayur & Disha are brother-sister in real life also.
Since this is announced fans are eagerly waiting for the Grand Diwali episode but there is a catch i.e nothing has been confirmed till now whether it is Disha Vakani making her comeback or the makers has finally decided to go ahead with a fresh face. Certainly! There have been reports suggesting that Disha Vakani might have agreed to return to the show after a long gap of six years. However, as of now, there hasn’t been any official confirmation regarding her comeback.
Taarak Mehta ka ooltah Chashmah has been in the news for all wrong reasons for last few months as Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal filed a complaint against Asit Kumarr Modi and other makers of sexual assault and After Jennifer, other artists also opened up about the issues they faced while working on the show.
